Sound Engineer

While working with the creative team, you conjure up dynamic sounding spots for the client by recording and editing dialogue, while mixing in effects and music that enhance the end-result.

You are both technical and artistic; have a great understanding of electronics and acoustics; and possess a refined “ear” in order to come through sounding loud, clear, and beautiful.

You’ll work for live shows and studio recordings, and will manage equipment, keep logs of recordings, compile recordings into the final master, and convert files for delivery on appropriate media formats. You are resourceful, detail-oriented and passionate about technology, innovation, and self-expression.

Tools of the Trade: Acoustics design; Audio editing software; Critical listening skills; DAW; Microphone set-up; MIDI; Mixing Consoles; Plug-ins; Pro Tools.
