Production Artist

As an integral part of the creative team, you make life easier for everyone on a project. You are a meticulous, goal oriented graphical wizard with a keen eye for the smallest details.

You may work in print production, advertising, digital design, and video – depending on your specialty.

Primarily, you assist the Art Director and Graphic Designer in order to facilitate the execution of a design.

Some of your work duties might include resizing ads, revisions, executing design updates, quality control, preparing and press checking files, and laying out pages. You have extensive knowledge of Quark, Illustrator, and Photoshop; the four-color printing process; and file-optimization technique.

Tools of the Trade: Illustrator; InDesign; Photoshop.
