Social Media Manager
With the growing influence of social media today, you play a key role in branding a company’s image.
As a Social Media Manager, you’ll have the power to manage the company’s image out in the open, while influencing existing and potential new customers, to achieve your marketing goals.
You are in charge of designing, implementing, managing, and monitoring the company’s online presence to generate brand awareness, improve marketing efforts, and increase sales. But being on Facebook, Instagram or Pinterest the whole day is just the start.
Your responsibilities also include creating engaging content that is aligned with business goals; ensuring high levels of web traffic; scheduling and executing posts; interacting with followers; building a strong network of influencers; monitoring customer reviews, SEO and traffic metrics. By researching trends and audience preferences, you’ll develope campaigns that boost engagement and traffic (such as promotions and giveaways), measure its result, suggest content optimization; and analyze ROI.
You’ll be working closely with a variety of teams, such as marketing, sales, product development, and customer service to ensure brand consistency; as well as with designers and copywriters to ensure content is engaging and reflects the company’s objectives.
To master this role like a boss, you are a creative individual who stays up-to-date with the latest technologies, trends, social media practices, design tools and applications.
Tools of the Trade: Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, other office related software. Understanding of performance marketing, web design, and content management. Working experience of SEO, keyword research, web traffic metrics, website analytics tools (such as Google Analytics, NetInsight, Omniture, and WebTrends), and social media marketing tools (like Buffer). Good copywriting, grammar, and project management skills. Excellent knowledge of Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, Twitter, LinkedIn, Google+ and other social media platforms
