Exciting and highly collaborative advertising agency is looking for a new Business Development Director to spearhead the growth of the company and their publicity efforts.

This company runs on a fast-paced agency environment, so staying organized, being able to work in cross-functional teams being highly proactive is imperative to this role.

As the Business Development Director you will report and collaborate directly with President/CEO of the company. Your daily duties will consist of identifying and leading new business, partaking in the creation of RFI, RFQ and RFPs, creating presentations and briefs, overviewing market research and strategizing business efforts.

In this role you will:
– Create annual agency marketing plans
– Supervise and lead the use of agency resources
– Fully understand the companies services and analyze industry competitors to plan for growth efforts
– Play a large role in new account acquisition to increase agency profits
– Have client facing encounters that quickly build strong and trusting relationships
– Keep staff abreast on all new business development during production meeting
– Work independently with little to no supervision, make sound decisions on business issues
– Manage and communicate avidly with vendors such as database software, search consultants and research firms
– Be a part of several projects and business efforts at once, as well as staying abreast of all company on-goings
– Bring overall new perspective to the companys already existing business program

Background Profile:
– Strong thought leadership, and large experience analyzing new business programs and industry to build effective new efforts for growth
– Experience leading teams and ability to create a highly collaborative environment, unafraid to be hand-on to acquire new accounts
– Ability to eloquently communicate direction, assign tasks and timelines to team member
– Large project management and time management experience ability to work on several initiatives at once
– Experience creating client-facing briefs and presentations ability to present business service to clients effectively
– Large agency experience and robust understanding of advertising like planning, positioning, strategy, branding, etc.
– Experience managing production for both traditional and digital media
– Proven record in creating effective integrated media and concepts from ideation stages to execution
– Both qualitative and quantitative skills, ability to conduct market/industry research and identify key components for new business opportunities
– BS/BA Degree or higher and 7+ years of experience in an agency within similar role in business or marketing
