We are looking for talented conceptual designers with original ideas that break the creative mold!

This company specializes in creating excellent immersive experiences through multiple platforms, but this role will focus on AR. You will get the opportunity to work in a collaborative creative team that THINKS BIG.

As a leading conceptual designer youll communicate avidly with interaction designers, engineers, brand managers and clients. You will aim to create amazing AR experiences, following projects from its conceptual stages all the way to deployment.

As AR Game Designer, you will:

– Create both 2D and 3D designs across platforms
– Be a leader in concept creation for spatial design
– Manage, and possibly assist in the team growth of, visual designers and 3D artists
– Ensure concepts are translated well to prototypes, ensure they meet the established quality
– Assist in providing creative UX/UI design solutions for complex problems, ensure solutions meet client requirements
– Create and maintain an effective data-driven design process that follows recommendations on gathered data and usability KPIs
– Stay abreast of new technology and tools to create exceptional AR experiences

Background Profile:

– Ability to work in a highly creative and collaborative environment
– Exceptional command of UI principles and best practices, experience in motion design for games and 3D apps
– Experience and ability to create customer-facing brand VR experiences
– Experience managing the longevity of a project and partaking in system rollouts
– Prior team management experience, and leaf conceptual designer
– Exceptional ability to be highly hands on and involved in the actual design of products
– Proficiency in Sketch, InVision, Figma, Adobe CC (Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, etc.)
– Prior experience working with game software (Unity)
– Experience in 3D Design software (3D Max, Maya, etc.)
– Prior experience in Agile workflows and scrum practices
– Exceptional communication skills both written and verbal, excellent problem solver
– BS in HCI Interaction Design or similar and 7+ years of experience in Visual Game Design including AR

This is a contract opportunity for a company in San Francisco, CA. Hourly rate depends on experience but highly negotiable.
