Join a diverse, global tech leader as their UX Manager and turn your passion for user experience design to work with an innovative company.

The UX Manager will take the lead managing teams of designers on and off site to create and improve the user experience and interface on consumer product web pages. This role will require you to work with teams off-site in several different time zones, so experience working with remote global colleagues is a plus.

This role will require exceptional problem solving skills, interaction design expertise, ability to lead a UX design team as well as ample knowledge of tech home products like routers, mobile, digital frames, etc.

As UX Manager, you can expect to:

– Manage staff of UX/ UI Designers (both local and global)
– Assign tasks to staff and review project to ensure quality and on-target strategy
– Manage new templates, design guidelines, style guides, documentation and more
– Conceptualize and establish UX strategy and communicate to product team and designers
– Oversee and manage wireframe and prototype creation
– Provide feedback and guidance on direction, edits and improvements
– Collaborate with other staff to conceptualize and identify UX goals
– Act as lead and mentor to design staff, including junior employees, instruct on design process
– Ensure consistency across platforms and environments
– Manage design process and steer conversation to promote innovative thinking
– Assist with other duties as needed

Background Profile:

– Exceptional understanding of UX/UI principles, trends and best practices
– Ample experience designing quality UI, visual and interaction designs
– Ability to conduct industry research and keep up with new technologies and trends
– Management experience in a design and tech hybrid team
– Exceptional command of industry design software and tools (Adobe CS, Sketch, InVision, etc.)
– Ability to turn around excellent UX and interaction designs in short timelines
– Communicates effectively – ideas, reviews, feedback and strategy
– Vast understanding of development (HTML, CSS, etc.)
– Experience and ability to act as mentor to design staff
– Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills
– Ability to work with Agile methodologies
– BS/BA Degree and 7+ years of relevant experience
– Preferred: Experience working with tech, overall interest in web, mobile and other tech products

This is an on-site, year long contract opportunity near Mountain View, CA.
